Do you see that super cute pup in the photo? That’s Darwin. She’s my Miniature American Shepherd and she has really BIG feelings 💓

Darwin was my crash course in understanding why dogs do what they do. Her unique personality and reactivity challenged me in ways I never expected—and ultimately led me down the incredible path of dog training.

As much as Darwin is the love of my life, I won’t sugarcoat it—life with a reactive dog is not a walk in the park (literally!) 🥵 That’s exactly why I’m so passionate about taking a proactive approach to dog training. When we equip ourselves with the right tools and knowledge early on, we can set our dogs up for success from the start and recognize the signs of behaviour problems before they escalate.

However, if you’re already in the thick of it with your dog, I see you. I’ve been through it all—puppy mayhem, nipping, leash pulling, crate training, reactivity—the whole rollercoaster. I deeply empathize with the overwhelm, frustration, and moments of doubt. But I also know how much joy, fun, and connection can blossom when you lean into the process.

That’s exactly why I started Olive Bark. Because life with a dog should feel joyful, not stressful. The olive tree, a symbol of peace and knowledge, perfectly represents what I aim to bring as your trainer: more calm, deeper understanding, and way more tail wags. My mission is to help you and your dog learn to speak the same language so you can build a happier, more relaxed life together.

To me, dogs are more than pets, they are lifelong companions with personalities, interests, and emotional depth. They understand us in ways that no one else can, and fill our lives with endless joy, comfort, and love. When we learn their language, we grow our bond 🙌🏼
